Dear Anthony,

Photographer's Forum magazine would like to thank you for entering the 28th Annual College Photography Contest, co-sponsored by Nikon. This year we opened up the contest to online submissions in addition to the traditional prints and slides, and we were overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response of the entrants. Over 4,000 students participated from the United States, Canada, and around the world.

Our photo editor, Nell Campbell, has selected the top 5% of all the submitted entries to be in the finalist group. We are pleased to inform you that you entry is in the finalist selection group. Winners and Honorable Mentions will be notified by mail by Februrary 18, 2008. In addition to their awards, First through Fourth Place winners will also be entered into Nikon's Emerging Photographers Hall of Fame.

The editors of Photographer's Forum  magazine are now publishing all the contest finalists in the Best of College Photography  Annual 2008.  Because you are a finalist, your work will appear in this year's annual. I personally want to congratulate you for being in the finalist selection group and I wish you luck.

Sincerely,
Glen R. Serbin
Publisher

I read that Robert Capa said, "It's not enough to be talented.  You also have to be Hungarian."
